If you were curious about our doctors here at Philly Dentistry here are some fun facts about Dr. Jessica Meier. Dr. Meier went to Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City for her undergrad and majored in Neuroscience. She graduated in 2007. In between graduating college and starting dental school she worked as a research fellow at Columbia Medical Center to Dr. Richard Axel, who is famous for winning the Nobel Prize in Physiology of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Meier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and has been practicing dentistry since then.
She is from Closter, New Jersey which is roughly 10 miles from New York City, New York. Dr. Meier also has an identical twin sister named, Kristen who is also Dr. Meier and is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hand surgery. Dr. Meier loves animals and has a 12-year-old rescue orange tabby named, Massimo Cat, a Boston Terrier named, Ponzu and a French Bulldog named, Queso. Her and her husband, Damian live in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia which is about one mile south of our Center City office. Along with loving animals her husband has a local start-up company called, Ponzmo, which cooks all natural, healthy, human grade dog food which is delivered to your doorstep. In her free time, Dr. Meier loves to cook, travel, do volunteer work, and play the piano. So, now you know a little bit more about our wonderful doctor, Dr. Jessica Meier.
